Hi, I’m Kate McNamee — an artist, teacher, and joyful creator who has spent nearly two decades spreading love through art.
For 19 beautiful years, I owned and led Splat Art Studio, a vibrant space where creativity and community bloomed side by side. Over the years, I had the joy of teaching countless children, families, and adults who walked through my doors, paintbrush in hand and hearts open. I taught everything from fine arts, art history, guided summer camps, paint nights, and celebrations— each one layered with laughter, learning, and connection. Watching others find confidence in their creativity was one of the greatest joys of my life.
Through teaching, I discovered that art is far more than technique — it’s a language of emotion, courage, and self-expression. It’s where we learn to let go, to play, and to see the beauty in our mistakes. Those lessons became the foundation of my own creative practice.
